Island Eggs

Today Lilly and I finally made it into the Pacific. We took an easy ferry ride to the island of Lyudao. Much easier to get to then Lanyu (where we previosly tried to get). It was great. We rented bikes and toured the ring road.
Then stopped for snorkling in the coral reef just off shore. We saw so many fish. That is a little Alex in the waves.
Then rounded out the day at a thermal hot springs. We were the only people crazy enough to do an outdoor hot spring in the mid-day. But it was great. We had the whole place to ourselves and there were lots of shaded pools to cool off in. So it was actually an ideal place to wait out the noon time sun. I however could not resist the water jets in this pool.

This all worked up an appetite and when we asked about food the attendants at the thermal springs gave us a bunch of eggs to boil in the natural hot water. This font was made specifically for funelling hot water from the springs for cooking.
Here's Lilly tending to our lunch and checkin' out the view.Hard boiled eggs (and ice coffee they had in a cooler) was a perfect island lunch.
Definitely one of our most memorable meals.
